Has anyone had a problem w/new webkinz secret codes?

Just bought a new webkinz for my 7 yr old daughter for Xmas & 1st it told me that my secret code was accepted & then when we tried puting in adoption info (name, etc.) it says that secret code has been used. When I try to log back on to the webkinz world to contact them, it kicks me out. Now that I see all the issues everyone is having w/the website, I have to wonder is this toy even worth it. This is 1st webkinz so i wouldn't know but it sure doesn't seem like it. Don't like the fact that my daughter was excited to get on & then has been so disappointed because no one from cust support has even got back to me. Any suggestions, anyone? Thx.

1. my little sister had problems with the webkinz website the other day. I just think that a ton of little kids logged on because of Christmas. Just wait until tomorrow or some other day. Good luck!
2. Sadly yes. My daughter has several of them but during Christmas time people are kind of crappy. Her webkinz code was already used before she adopted her pet. People will go into the store and open the code write it down and then put it back. Sorry that this was your first experience with this happening to you.
3. I dont have any suggestions for you, but the same thing happens at my house. We have the highest speed Internet and we still can load or get on and I was supposed to get an email about some chat room permission and that never came to me either. Last night I told my daughter it was probably slow bc everyone probably got new ones for Christmas and were logging on. I personally think the site has a lot of issues.
4. i have 8 webkinz infact i just got of their website.they have been haveing problems lately. someone probably opened your secret code wrote it down and tied it back on to your webkinz. you have two options go back to the store and tell then what happened and that you want a refund or go to hallmark at most of there stores they keep the codes in the back and when you go to check out they give it to you because they no that people always take and steal the codes. you can also return your webkinz without telling them about the code thing and get a new one. i hope thats not stealing. sorry. merry late christmas. hope this helps
5. i just tried to log in too, and it was taking forever. just must be lots of kids trying to get on.
6. That happened last night when I was starting my cousin's account, try to just log in with the nickname and password. It worked for me!
